Ambassador Ngoc highly valued the US government's decision to include Viet Nam in the list of recipients of the support of COVID-19 vaccines.

He expressed his hope that Sullivan, together with the US Senate, parliament and government, will pay more attention so that Viet Nam can soon receive vaccines.

For his part, Senator Sullivan expressed his special affection for Viet Nam and deep impressions of his previous visit to the Southeast Asian nation. He said he looks forward to returning to Viet Nam, and is very interested in helping Viet Nam overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two sides agreed on the importance of maintaining constructive dialogues to iron out differences between the two countries.

They shared the view that the US should continue to play a constructive role in and contribute to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development, and rules-based orders in the East Sea and the Indo-Pacific.
